Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a family of mixed blood. Her mother and father have both been English. Her family was raised on a South London community estate, and when she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She pursued acting studies in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. At the academy, she appeared in numerous stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then Madekwe's appearance in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's debut film was her role in the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Her success resulted in her being cast as Elisha as a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. She then appeared in six episodes Trexx & Flipside as Ollie. In 2008 she landed Bambi's part on the ITV2 Drama The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on the series 2 and 3. Madekwe appeared in the comedic How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). She was also on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written by David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes at The CW, and was later removed from the air. In February 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. After appearing on the show for the initial two seasons the show was announced late May 2013 that she would quit the show following her appearance on the pilot episode in the season's third. From 2014 until 2016, she starred in Salem as Tituba. Madekwe was married to her long-time partner, Iddo. In addition to Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked together on Salem and also he played an appearance with her on that TV show.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. The four brothers she had were also present: twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers, who were who were all extremely active, took part in hockey in the winters and baseball in the summer, so that she grew up playing in parks and arenas. Ashley was never a walker, she was a dancer, and when she was two and a half she took up Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley developed a passion for dancing when she began Baby Ballet. Ashley was a dancer who competed across all major divisions up until her graduation from high school. She was a competitor in jazz, tap, ballet and pointe, as well as Acrobatics. The important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the distinction of "top individualist".
