Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a mixed family. Her father and mother were both English. Her family was lived in a housing estate run by the council south of London. At the age fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received a BA degree in acting. At school, she was a part-time actor in numerous stage plays, like King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her career as an actress in the movie Storm Damage. She's appeared as an actor on Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. In the following year, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi who was the leading character in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was the main character on How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy made in 2008. She also appeared as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009, with the thriller The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes before it was cancelled on The CW. In February of 2011 she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe appeared in all episodes of the show's initial two seasons as an regular. In May of 2013, announcement was made that she would be departing the show following her appearance as a guest on the opening episode for its third season. In 2014 and 2016, she starred in the role of Tituba the television series Salem. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl They have also collaborated with each other on Salem and also he played an appearance with her on that TV show.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey in the summer and winter. Her childhood was spent in the arenas and baseball. Ashley did not walk, but she danced, so when she was 2 1/2 years old she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. Ashley fell in love with dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley continued to compete until her high-school graduation at the top levels of competitions, such as tap, Jazz, Ballet and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and more. In addition, she won best soloist awards at all important dance competitions like the International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, among others.
