Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of a mixed-race family from South London in England. The mother of her child is English while her father is Nigerian. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14 years old. In London, she studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was earned. As a student at the academy was when she performed in various stage productions, such as King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting journey began in the series Storm Damage. Since then, she's been a guest star on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her first role in a film was in Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Then, she played Elisha in the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie in the six episodes of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. She was Bambi on the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe starred as the lead character for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy that was released in the year 2008. Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 when she appeared on her dramatic The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes before being removed from The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge in February of 2011. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons, it was reported in late May 2013 that Madekwe would leave the show after her appearance on the pilot episode from the 3rd season. Madekwe starred as Tituba on the show Salem between 2014 and the year 2016. Madekwe was married to her long-time love, Iddo. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he was a character in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for a Gemini Award, comes from an extensive Hamilton family. Her family included both parents Roy and Patty together with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's athletic brothers were avid baseball players during the summer months and hockey during winters. Ashley didn't walk, instead she would dance. At age two and half she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley became a dancer since that time. Until she graduated from high school, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of ballet, tap, jazz and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical and hip hop. She won the top soloist awards at all of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
