Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child, was born to a family in South London. The mother of her child is English and her father is Nigerian. She was raised in a south London community estate, where she attended The Brit School at age 14. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was obtained. While at the school, she was a part-time actor in a number of performances on stage, such as King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career in the movie Storm Damage. Since then, she has been a guest star in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Then, she appeared in Elisha, an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie in six episodes each in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. The ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl was her first appearance in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe was also the lead character in How to lose friends & alienate people that was aired by Sony Pictures Entertainment the year 2008. The credits on stage for Madekwe are Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009, with The thriller The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes before it was cancelled on The CW. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series of Revenge on ABC in two episodes. The show was announced in May 2013 that she would be leaving the series following a guest episode in the initial season of the third. She was Tituba on the television series Salem between 2014 and. Madekwe was married to her long-time love, Iddo. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked together on Salem and he had a part alongside her in that show.
Ashley Leggat, an actress who was twice nominated for a Gemini Award, is a member of a large Hamilton family. Four of her older brothers were also present and included twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. The four brothers of Ashley, each of them extremely athletic, played hockey during the winters and baseball in the summers, meaning they grew up mostly in baseball and arenas. Ashley couldn't walk, however she was able to dance. This led to the fact that as she grew older when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. Ashley fell in love with dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley participated in the top divisions of tap, jazz hip-hop, ballet lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe until she graduated in high school. The major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the honor of "top individualist".
