Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into the family of South London. Her father and mother have both been English. Her family was raised in the south of a London council estate and attended The Brit School at age 14. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received an acting BA. While at the school, she was a part-time actor in numerous stage productions, including the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. The actress has been a guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut was that of the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Following that success, she played Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside playing Ollie. Madekwe played Bambi on the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also appeared on the comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). Her credits in the theatre are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 with her thriller The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes before it was cancelled on The CW. In February, she was cast 2011 in the role of Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. After being a regular for the first two seasons, it was announced in May 2013 that Madekwe would leave the show after an appearance as a guest in the premiere episode in the season's third. She starred as Tituba in the television series Salem between 2014 and the year 2016. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. They've worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also was a character on the show Salem.

Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's siblings, who are all sportsmen, played baseball during the summer and played hockey in winters. Ashley was not a walker, but she danced. In the age of two and half, she found Baby Ballet. Ashley developed a passion for dancing when she began the Baby Ballet. When she was in High School, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of tap, jazz, ballet and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. Every important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the honor of "top Soloist".
