Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a mixed family. Both her parents were both English. She attended The Brit School when she was 14. She pursued acting studies in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. At school, she was a part-time actor in numerous stage plays, such as King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career began with Storm Damage. She has since made appearances on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion-picture role in the Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. She then appeared in Elisha on the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie for six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she had the opportunity to play the role of Bambi on the ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the episodes two and three. Madekwe was a part of the comedy How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Her credits in theatre includes Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009, with the thriller The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes before it was cancelled on The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge in February of 2011. Madekwe appeared in all episodes of the series' first two seasons as an regular. However, in May of 2013, it was announced that news broke that Madekwe will quit the show due to her appearance as a guest on the opening episode for its third season. She starred as Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 until the year 2016. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. They've worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and he also had a role alongside her on the TV series Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress who was twice nominated for the Gemini Award, comes from the large Hamilton family. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty and her other siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. All of her brothers were athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey in the winter and summer months. Her childhood was spent in stadiums and played baseball. Ashley did not have the ability to actually walk. She danced. So when she was two and a half and a half, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley was enthralled by dance immediately after that. Ashley continued to perform competitively until her high-school graduation with top divisions like ballet, tap, Jazz Pointe, Acrobatics, Pointe Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and much more. She was crowned the top individualist in all the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
