Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe came from a multicultural family. Born in South London. She has a mother who is English and her father Nigerian. Her family was raised in a south London council estate and attended The Brit School at age fourteen. In London, she studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was earned. As a student at the academy was when she performed in various stage productions, such as King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career with the film Storm Damage. The actress has been a guest on Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was co-starring Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. After this success, Madekwe was cast as Elisha in her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured on six of the episodes Trexx and Flipside. She was Bambi on the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was the main character in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her credits in the theatre include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe debuted in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama show aired in the US on The CW for only two episodes before being removed from the air. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe appeared in all episodes of the series' first two seasons as an regular. In May of 2013, announcement was made that she would be departing the show following her appearance as a guest on the opening episode for its third season. The actress played Tituba on the television show Salem in 2014 until 2016. Madekwe was married to her long-time lover, Iddo. They have worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the past, and Goldberg has also appeared alongside Madekwe in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by a big family. She was born to Patty and Roy Leggat. The four brothers she had were also in the family: twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers were athletic and were avid baseball players during the summer months and hockey during winters. Ashley could not walk but danced. In the end, when she turned 2 She discovered Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley performed in competitive tap, jazz and ballet in the high divisions. She also won top soloists awards in all major dance contests, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
