Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a multicultural family. She was born in South London. Both her parents are both English. Her family was in the south London Council Estate. She was a student at The Brit School aged 14. She was a student at an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained an acting BA. In her time at the school, she performed in numerous stage plays, like King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her career as an actress through the film Storm Damage. The actress has been a guest for Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was co-starring Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. In the following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. The ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe made an appearance in the 2008 comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Performance credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her debut in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama program was telecast at The CW for only two episodes, before it was ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was in the episodes in the series' first two seasons as an regular. But in May of 2013, it was announced that announcement was made that she would leave the show after her guest appearance in the premiere episode of its third season. In 2014 and 2016, she starred as Tituba in the TV series Salem. Madekwe got married to her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked with each other on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had an appearance with her on that show.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. Four of her older brothers were also present and included twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. The four brothers of Ashley, who were all extremely physically active, were all playing hockey in the winter and baseball during the summer months, which means they grew up mostly in baseball and arenas. Ashley couldn't walk, however she was able to dance. As a result, at the age of 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley began to be a dancer after this. Ashley participated in the top divisions in jazz, tap ballet, hip hop, Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre and pointe, until she finished high school. Ashley won the best soloist honor at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just the few.
